Floral Serenade is a painting that began as a textural exploration. When I started this piece, I wanted to capture the beauty of flowers in a way that feels soft, dreamy, and a bit magical.

I used shades of blush pink, deep red, and a touch of moody purple to give them that romantic, ethereal vibe. Flowers are a mix of fragility and strength - they’re delicate but still stand tall. That’s the energy I wanted to bring out here.

The background is super soft and hazy, almost like the glow you see at dawn or just before the sun sets. It’s a peaceful light that makes everything feel calm and timeless. I wanted it to feel serene, calming.

I love working with acrylics. I build up the layers which creates a depth in the colours, and I can really play around with texture between layers. The flowers feel alive, like they’re gently swaying in the breeze, and that was so important when creating this.

To me, this painting is a reminder to slow down and notice the small, beautiful moments that are all around us.

I created this piece with the hope that it’ll bring a sense of calm and joy wherever it ends up. Whether it’s in a cozy bedroom, a bright living room, or even a meditation space, I want it to feel like a breath of fresh air every time you look at it. It’s not just a pretty picture, it’s a little reminder to appreciate life’s delicate, fleeting beauty.
