Bell’s Garden I is the first piece of a vibrant floral triptych I created to celebrate the beauty and charm of Mr. and Mrs. Bell’s garden. I wanted to capture the feeling of standing among and surrounded by their roses, hydrangeas and lilies, surrounded by colour, light and life. The artwork flows across three panels, each one connected through expressive, textured brushstrokes that bring a sense of movement and energy.
The bright, layered colours reflect the joy I felt while painting it. For me, Bell’s Garden is more than a floral study. It’s about the warmth and love that grow from caring for something beautiful, and the way a garden can reflect the people who nurture it.
