Every day gives us the chance to begin again.
New Dawn is about leaving yesterday where it belongs and not getting too caught up worrying about tomorrow. Today is a new day, a fresh start and another opportunity to appreciate where we are right now.
I wanted this piece to have that feeling of standing quietly in front of a new morning. Warm light breaking through the landscape, colour beginning to fill the sky and that sense that, for a moment, anything feels possible.
Created with loose brushwork and palette knife, the layers of colour and texture give the landscape an expressive, almost dreamlike quality.
For me, New Dawn is a simple reminder to be present. Appreciate what you have, notice the beauty around you and enjoy the moments that are happening right now.
