This loose, expressive acrylic painting captures my impression of Forster after dark, looking back towards the wharf from the Forster Tuncurry Bridge. Rather than painting every detail, I wanted to capture the feeling of the place. The quiet lights reflecting across the water, the stillness of the evening, and the memories that seem to come alive once the sun goes down.
Forster holds a special place in my heart. My parents called it home for more than 20 years, and we visited as often as we could, usually at least once a year. Some of my favourite family memories were made here, watching the kids explore, slowing down together, and enjoying the simple beauty of the coast.
