There’s something about a quiet morning on the water that makes everything slow down.
Misty Yachts was painted from memory, inspired by the soothing sight of yachts anchored in calm water, surrounded by cool morning mist. No particular place, just that familiar feeling of stillness before the day really begins.
Soft whites, greys and touches of blue are layered with loose, expressive marks, allowing the yachts to almost disappear into the mist. For me, this piece is about calm, space and taking a moment to simply be. A little reminder to slow down when life gets busy.
